Our Boat

Our Boat is a custom designed 12-person day boat with the open deck space of a pontoon boat but with some additional style and features of a cruiser.

Her ease of operation, her open design and her shallow draught allow her to operate in areas not normally accessible to traditional vessels. This makes her perfect for family day trips on the Brisbane River and out to Moreton Bay if the weather is good.

She has a single 150hp outboard motor which allows her to cruise economically at 6-8kts however she can get on the plane and dash up to 20kts in favorable conditions.

She can carry up to 12 passengers (plus two crew if required) so she is ideally suited to small groups and family outings.

Boat hire packages start at just $650 per day and include full use of Our Boat and all of her equipment on the Brisbane River from sunrise to sunset.

The cost of fuel is an additional charge and this will be calculated separately at the end of the hire period.

Our Boat can be delivered to any other location from Caloundra to the Gold Coast to help you explore your favourite waterways. Bribie Island, Tangalooma, Amity Point and Jacobs Well are popular places to start your full day on the water.

A qualified skipper can be engaged to operate Our Boat to help you enjoy a stress-free day on the water.

For most low risk activities such as day trips in protected waterways, the nominated skipper does not need to have a boat licence to operate Our Boat.

The nominated skipper just needs to be in good health, be more than 18 years of age and be able to demonstrate their competence. Before departure, the nominated skipper will be provided with instructions on how to operate Our Boat in all of the conditions expected on the day. These instructions will be tailored to suit the skipper’s level of competence and experience and they will include practical demonstrations.

Copies of the safety management system, briefing checklists, operating instructions and emergency procedures are kept on board to assist the nominated skipper in operating Our Boat for the duration of the hire period.
