Boat Hire

Our Boat can be made available for full day hire and for overnight or multiple day hire to appropriately qualified and competent skippers.

Day Hire

From $550 per day (plus fuel at cost)

Full day hire is based on any consecutive 8hour period commencing as early as sunrise and concluding no later than sunset. Extended day hire in excess of 8hours can be negotiated based on the equivalent Pro Rata rate.

Overnight Hire

From $650 per night (plus fuel at cost)

Although Our Boat is not equipped for overnight accommodation, she can be made available for overnight operations in support of fishing or other activities where the time of day is not quite as important as the prevailing wind, waves or tides.

Overnight hire is based on a nominal 10hour period commencing approximately one hour before sunset and concluding no later than one hour after sunrise the following day. Extended overnight hire in excess of 10hours can be negotiated based on the equivalent Pro Rata rate.

For overnight operations, the nominated skipper must:

  • have held a boat licence (a recreational marine craft licence or equivalent) for at least two years, and
  • demonstrate their knowledge and experience in operating vessels at night, and
  • demonstrate their ability to operate the various navigation and work area lights aboard Our Boat, and
  • complete and submit a navigation plan with reference to their proposed primary and secondary aids to navigation.

Multiple Day Hire

From $1,200 (plus fuel at cost)

Although Our Boat is not equipped for overnight accommodation, she can be made available for multiple day hire in support of consecutive day trips or for shore based activities such as camping and field deployments.

Multiple day hire is based on a full day hire followed by an overnight hire and a second day hire that commences as early as sunrise on the first day and concludes no later than sunset on the second or subsequent day(s).

For multiple day hire, the nominated skipper must:

  • have held a boat licence (a recreational marine craft licence or equivalent) for at least two years, and
  • demonstrate their ability to secure and moor Our Boat safely by way of anchoring or by securing her to a pontoon/jetty depending on their proposed area of operations, and
  • demonstrate their ability to undertake the required pre/post operational checklists including checks of safety, structural and engineering items, and
  • complete and submit a navigation plan with reference to their proposed primary and secondary mooring locations, and
  • if operating after sunset or before sunrise, demonstrate their knowledge and experience in operating vessels at night, and
  • demonstrate their ability to operate the various navigation and work area lights aboard Our Boat, and
  • complete and submit a navigation plan with reference to their proposed primary and secondary aids to navigation.

Commercial Hire and/or Charter Work

If you require additional help, I can also make myself available as a crew member under the command of your nominated skipper. I hold the following competencies:

  • Coxswain Grade 2 (and full qualifications for the awarding of a Coxswain Grade 1 competency pending completion of qualifying sea service)
  • Short Range Operator Certificate of Proficiency (VHF Radio Operator)
  • Apply First Aid (including CPR)
  • Positive Notice Blue Card (working with children)

General Notes:

Please note the prices shown above are based on general terms and conditions of hire including payment in full prior to the hire period and return of Our Boat and all her equipment at the end of the hire period without loss or damage. A refundable deposit is required to secure payment of additional charges including fuel, loss or damage. A 15% surcharge applies on all public holidays.
